Add Google Analytics tag to your Power Pages site or Specified Web Pages

 You can add Google Analytics tag to your Power Pages site to monitor specific traffic analytics and trends.

Monitor the whole website:

Option 1:  Power Pages Management

Steps:

  1. Open the Power Pages management app.
  2. Navigate to the Content Snippets section.
  3. Create a new content snippet called Tracking Code of Type = Text.
  4. Leave the Content Snippet Language value blank.
  5. Place the Google tag into the Value box.
                        

  1. Sync the changes on Power Pages site editor.

  1. Test from Google side:

   


Test Result:

Log in the Power Pages site, then go to Google Analytics portal. You will see one user access was tracked.



Option 2: Portal Management:

Step 1: Go to "Portal Management", 



Step 2: Add Google code to "Portal analytics".

 

 




BTW:  If you wanna track specified web pages, if they have dedicated web template, you can add the Google Analytics Code to the web template directly.

    Adding GA directly to the web template is honestly a lifesaver if you just wanna track specific pages instead of the whole site. Took me a bit to figure out the content snippet method, but once you sync it in Power Pages, it just works. Also found some neat tips on testing with GA that made debugging way easier.
