Solution: To allow sorting on columns from related tables, a specific site setting is required:

  1. Navigate to the site settings.
  2. Add a new site setting named Site/EnableSortingOnLinkedEntities.
  3. Set its value to true.


Now, users can sort data on the list by selecting a column header, even if the column is from a related table.
